Today (7th August 2013) is International Pumping Day. It marks the end of World Breastfeeding Week and recognises all the babies who are fed breastmilk but do not feed from the breast. Exclusively pumping basically means you pump your breastmilk for your baby or another baby (some people donate their milk) and you don’t feed from the breast at all. To celebrate and raise awareness, there is an event called “Express Yourself”, calling all exclusively pumping ladies to record the time spent expressing and the amount expressed in 24 hours, it will then be collated. Today I pumped for 6 hours and 39 minutes, and expressed 685ml of milk.
